Hello! I am Lander, and I am a teacher, youth leader, artist, and soon to be an IT-expert.

Working with young people is one of my passions, yet when I finished my bachelor of education (math and physics in secondary education), I felt like something was missing. And yes, after taking a leap into the world of IT - in which I had no previous experiences-, it quickly became clear that the digital realm is my jam! In 2023, I finished my Cloud & Cybersecurity education at Thomas More Geel in Belgium. My first real bite in the IT platter was with Aurubis Olen in 2024, and now I'm looking at what other tastes I might discover here.

The world of IT is very broad. I'd love to work in the fields of cybersecurity, infrastructure or networks, with perhaps some programming on the side. I'm not limiting myself to just those. There is so much to learn and to explore. I could pursue a career in IT, teach physics, maths, or IT in front of a classroom, or combine both! Or it could be something completely different!

I have but one requirement, and it is that I do something that contributes. Something that improves my local community, society as a whole, or even better: the world. I'd love to do something that could benefit the environment, or improve our relationship with nature. That's what I'm aiming for, but I'm not too worried. The future is an open door, and I'll step through it when I get there.
